Next Generation Power Systems
The design and construction team were tasked with providing an expansive power system that would support current demands, function through critical events, and provide opportunities for future expansion. Serving as the electrical engineer for the project, our focus became centered around power infrastructure that could easily be developed into a microgrid.
This resulted in a robust 1,200A single-phase power system with a 78kW solar array, 150kW backup generator, provisions for future battery storage and Racepoint flexible load management. Tying these systems through a central control platform provided the owner with ultimate visibility and control over the home’s power systems.
